Right in front of the chalet is the sunny Gerlitzen ski resort with its breathtaking panorama view and its beautiful slopes on 40 kilometers of well-groomed pistes and 16 modern ski lifts.

The Gerlitzen Ski area offers simple runs for beginners as well as numerous challenging runs for experienced skiers. A ski school is available for adults and for children. A rich variety of lodges offers fine gastronomy and splendid sun terraces.

• Elevation: 1000 to 1911 meters above sea level
• 40 km of ski slopes
• 8 km blue runs (easy)
• 29 km red runs (intermediary)
• 3 km black runs (difficult)

Other skiing resorts within 40 minutes driving distance: Bad Kleinkirchheim, Verditz (only “randonnés”), Goldeck, Dreilaendereck. In approximately 1 hour, you can reach Nassfeld, Sella Nevea in Italy and Krajnska Gora in Slovenia.

• Ski tours: From the valley station of the Klösterle ski lift, a dedicated ski tour path leads you to the top of the Gerlitzen. The Nockberge, Tauern Mountains, the Karnische Mountains offer many possibilities for beautiful ski tours. Skiing instructors can be booked easily at the local ski school. An easy cross-country skiing trail starts on front of the house. Carinthian Curling is practiced in the close neighborhood and skating is possible on the frozen Afritzer- and Feldersee (lake).
